Riley Cannon, Delta High School, Here Comes Treble!

Here is some special information about my experience in DI!

Information about how long I’ve been in DI, the roles I’ve had in DI, the regions I’ve been connected to, etc.:

My “Home Region” = Western Slope

I started DI in 2017, my freshmen year of high school! I showed up to auditions having not known what DI even was, or that it was even an audition. I had a blast for an hour and afterward, I got a text saying I made the team. Our team was called Here Comes Treble! and we did the Improv challenge all three years. We made a TON of improvements throughout the years and I’m proud to say we made it to globals two years in a row, which was amazing! In the team, I didn’t have an official role, but my main job was to pick up the card and read it; Or because of my shorter hair, I was the guy, which of course became a major running joke in our all-girl team.

Special memories, experiences, etc. related to my time in DI:

One of my favorite memories looking back was always pin trading. Whether it was at the state or global level. I loved the experience of running up to total strangers and asking about their pin collection, which was usually set up like some kind of shop. All organized based on preference or rarity, or if they were a set. It was just a way for people to easily meet up and talk to people which you might have never had the chance to otherwise. Plus! cool pins, that when I came home I’d have a story for each one; who I traded it with, how hard I had to bargain for it, how long I spent looking over dozens of pins trying to find that specific one I saw on somebody’s shirt the day before. It was always a blast and I think I’ll always carry around those pins.

Here are some photos I wanted to share with you about my experience in DI. I hope you enjoy them!

Riley!!!!!! I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed having you on my DI team. You are amazing and I love your guts! I can see Elon Musk without thinking of you. You played him fabulously. Congrats on your upcoming graduation and may you be successful in whatever the future has for you.
