DIY DI

What is it?

DIY DI is an exciting, self-led, and safe DI experience where team members will do a series of challenges that will take them across the first half of the 20th century, without ever leaving the comfort of your own house. There will be challenges that involve, but are not limited to, (re)experiencing a pandemic, transmitting secret messages, and playing in the dirt.

How will it work?

DIY DI will take place on Saturday, October 24th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., your team will be able to access their first challenge. Each challenge will be completed by uploading an unlisted YouTube video of your solution and answering a small number of questions for the appraisers. Your team can take as much or as little time as they want during the time window.

There will also be a team manager meeting on Wednesday, October 21st at some time, probably around 8:00 p.m.  Mountain time. 

How much will it cost?

DIY DI will cost $15 per team member.

How will it be scored?

Each challenge (with exception to the last) will be worth points. A time multiplier will be given to each team based on completion time, with the fastest team getting a higher multiplier and the slowest team getting the lowest. BUT BE CAREFUL, going faster might result in your team getting lower scores, so the time multiplier might not help you if you rush through your challenge.

The last challenge will be worth extra points and have no time limit (as long as you turn it in before 3:00), so make the best solution you can!
